Leaf, Brush, Tree Parts, and Yard Waste Collection Information

LEAF COLLECTION - Rake leaves to curb or edge of grass, NEVER INTO THE STREET.  DO NOT BAG OR PLACE IN TOTES  or stack with brush.  Pickup starts in the fall.  (A Spring pickup may be necessary, DPW to determine).

BRUSH and TREE PARTS - Brush up to 4" in diameter and 6' in length with NO ROOTS, neatly piled with large end to the road (NOT IN TOTES).  Brush collection week begins the LAST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH (does not have to be a full week - just the last Monday).  Regardless of your garbage day, have brush out by 7:00 a.m. on the last Monday of the month.  Crews will stop by one time for collection.  Brush collection goes on year round, weather permitting.

The Village of Hamburg will not collect or remove brush or tree parts produced by commercial contractors.  Brush and tree parts produced by commercial contractors must be removed from the property by the contractor or by the owner or occupant of the property. Such brush and tree parts may not be placed at or near the curb or street right-of-way, except temporarily as may be necessary in the course of the work which produced the brush and tree parts.

CHRISTMAS TREES - Place trees at the curb for disposal.

YARD WASTE PICKED UP WEEKLY.  While we strive to collect on your garbage day, that does not always occur based on volume and staffing.  During the summer, place in open container (max. 60 lbs.).  During the fall, yard waste may be placed on the ground next to the curb and/or leaf pile to be vacuumed up.  Grass clippings WILL NOT  be collected.  You are urged to compost them or mow into your lawn.

Allie Lane, Jordy Court, Scooter Circle, Scooter Lane, Stelle Street are excluded from the above services.
