Protects, enhances, and perpetuates the landmarks and historic areas which represent distinctive elements of Hamburg's historic, architectural, and cultural heritage.  Fosters civic pride in the accomplishments of the past.  Protects and enhances Hamburg's attractiveness to visitors and the support and stimulus to the economy it provides.  Insures the harmonious, orderly and efficient growth and development of the Village.
